Our Client in the Education sector is looking to employ a Copywriter to join their team.

The copywriter will be responsible for conceptualising and writing engaging copy for the company across various platforms, including but not limited to social media, print and online publications. They will also be responsible for scheduling the company’s social media posts across various platforms.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualises and writes engaging content for creative initiatives, campaigns, and projects (for example, point-of-view advertisements, marketing campaigns, and landing pages).
  • Writes informative and educational articles on ICT relevant topics.
  • Content creation for video scripts and transcripts demonstrating our expertise in the ICT industry.
  • Produces clear content while adhering to SEO guidelines and best practices.
  • Proofreads all copy to check that it is factually and grammatically correct.
  • Works with other departments, where necessary, to improve content.
  • Writes SEO articles for the company’s website.
  • Schedules organic and paid social media content based on the available social media budget.
  • Collaborates with the graphic designers to conceptualise social media content.
  • Contributes to the development of the content strategy.
  • Collaborates with management to translate business objectives into actionable marketing messages.
  • Maintains content guidelines and style guides.
  • Is in constant communication with management, faculty, students, and alumni to gather up-to-date information.
  • Responds to Google reviews.
  • Responds to enquiries received via social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Ad hoc required tasks

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism or any communication related field.
  • 2-3 years of copywriting, SEO writing and social media marketing experience.
  • Paid media experience is advantageous.
  • Native English speaker.
  • Excellent English language proficiency.
  • Excellent copywriter / storytelling skills.
  • A meticulous eye for copy checking.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented and organised.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms.
  • A keen interest in the field of information technology.
